Ray S. Kim, Ph.D.

 

Dr. Ray Kim is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who specializes in Forensic Psychology. He has worked as a forensic psychologist on a secure psychiatric unit for patients adjudicated Unfit to Stand Trial and Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity, and later as Forensic Outpatient Director of Chicago Metropolitan Forensic Services.

Dr. Kim was one of the first psychologists trained by the Illinois Department of Human Services to evaluate sex offenders for sexual dangerousness under the Sexually Violent Persons Commitment Act. He is also among the first to be certified as a Licensed Sex Offender Evaluator and Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider in Illinois.

Agoritsa Barczak, Psy.D.

 

Dr. Agoritsa Barczak is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist, as well as a Licensed Sex Offender Evaluator in Illinois.

 

She has extensive experience in conducting forensic evaluations and providing expert testimony for the courts on matters related to competency for trial, insanity plea, risk for sexual dangerousness, prediction of violence, and Miranda rights issues.


Dr. Barczak also specializes in malingering assessments for individuals suspected of feigning or exaggerating symptoms of mental illness.

Sharon Coleman, Psy.D.

 

Dr. Sharon Coleman is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and the Deputy Director for Forensic and Justice Services at the Illinois Department of Human Services/Division of Mental Health. She has 20 years of clinical experience as a forensic evaluator and expert witness for state and federal courts.

​

Dr. Coleman has been instrumental in shaping justice and mental health policies, having collaborated with stakeholders at both the state and national levels. Her achievements include the development of innovative programs focusing on offender re-entry, community reintegration, and legal system diversion.

Ellis O'Connor, Psy.D.png


Ellis O’Connor, Psy.D.

 

Dr. Ellis O'Connor is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Sex Offender Evaluator, specializing in forensic psychological evaluations.

​

Dr. O’Connor has worked as a full-time staff member at the Kane County Diagnostic Center since 2019. At the Diagnostic Center, she has completed court-ordered evaluations of psychological functioning, fitness to stand trial, sanity, and risk of violence. She also has completed numerous sex offender evaluations. Dr. O’Connor frequently appears as an expert witness in court proceedings and consults with attorneys.

Alexandra Tsang, Psy.D.

 

Dr. Alexandra Tsang is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a sub-specialty in Forensic Psychology. She presently serves as the Director and Chief Psychologist at Kane County Diagnostic Center.

 

With 24 years of expertise in the field of forensic psychology, Dr. Tsang has extensive experience in conducting a wide array of evaluations, ranging from fitness to stand trial and sanity evaluations to risk assessments for violent behavior. These also encompass custody evaluations, Miranda Warning assessments, sex offender and sexually violent predator evaluations, as well as assessments related to school shootings and juvenile transfers.
